2. What happens in a colonic session?
After the person is comfortably positioned on the equipment, they insert their own one use only rectal nozzle about 1 1/2 inches ito the rectum. A gentle flow of gravity fed water begins. The water flowing into the colon starts peristalsis(muscular action of colon expelling matter) which causes the release of water and waste. This process begins at the rectum and continues to the transverse section and then to the cecum, breaking up waste and achieving evacuation of the colon.
